Interested in learning how to take your homemade cakes from simple to WOW?! Morsels is here with some delicious ideas to help! In this 1.5ish hour-ish class, we'll cover the basics of how to assemble a mini 2-layer cake & we’ll even learn some techniques with buttercream through piping practice. Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile.
Your mini cake will be vanilla bean with a fruit filling and vanilla buttercream (BONUS: recipes included for class attendees!)
This class is for the beginner decorator or for the person who is just curious about basics in cake decorating! If you have limited experience, found yourself frustrated when decorating your family birthday cakes, or if you're just looking for a unique way to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you!
Morsels will provide everything you will need: cakes, filling, buttercream and even the box to take your amazing masterpiece home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker will get a chance to learn some new skills to utilize for your next event and all the tools necessary to knock this decorating class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking required. Just decorate!
You'll leave class with a great understanding of cakes, buttercream plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class!
Highlighted techniques included with this class: piping with buttercream, filling/layering and crumb coating, using a turntable, & basics of cake design.

Day and Time of Event: Thursday (05/01), 6 - 8 pm
$55 Registration Fee includes all decorating supplies, instruction, beverages provided by Village Wine & Spirits, & dessert by Morsels.
Instructor-Led Class by Heather McGruder, owner of locally based Morsels. Class hosted by La Vie Est Belle.
Minimum Age to Participate: Ages 12 and up welcome. We kindly ask that younger participants are accompanied by an adult.

Minimum Registrations: To hold event, we require a minimum of 6 registrations. If we cancel due to minimal registrations, we will contact you within 48 hours of the class and work to either reschedule or offer you a 100% refund.
Maximum Registrations: 10 is a full class. If the class is full, please email us at hello@shoplavie.co to be added to a wait list. We may explore adding additional seats to this class or we will happily explore opening another class.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Details: Up to one week prior to event: 90% refund for cancellation (or) reschedule for no additional fee. Less than one week we are unable to provide a refund for cancellation due to the nature of the class and materials already purchased. If cancellation due to weather, we will reschedule.
